Check out this putu mayam stall

I simply must feature this putu mayam or hopstrings stall because my picky son said this is the best-est putu mayam in the world.

We have been going back like every week for them. You can see a close up of what putu mayam is on my other blog.

The stall is run by a whole family consisting of grandma, parent and children. Some people bought as much as RM10 on one visit!

I really cannot discern what exactly is good putu mayam but I guess the crowds confirm that is is nice.

Location :
Along Jalan Dato Kramat where the Penang Times Square development site is. You can’t miss it. It is brightly lit at night. Closed on Monday. While you are there, do check out the Birch house (hope the name is right). I will post pics of the place in my next blog.

[...] They put some raisins to make it tastier. I got these from the little stall by the roadside along Jalan Dato Keramat, where the Berjaya Times Square project is (putu mayam location here). Available from around 6 pm till at night. Business is very brisk and sometimes, people had to wait for a while to buy their putu mayam. (my old posts on putu mayam ) [...]
