Scuba-Diving (for nerds)

Assuming I have 4 whole days with absolutely nothing to do. What can I possibly learn about scuba-diving within that period? I don’t intend to go into the deep blue sea, oh no, not yet! But it may be fun to know at least how to walk with web feet. LOL!

Anyone can give me a very, very short gist on how you learn scuba-diving?

  1. sign up for a class which starts you off in a swimming pool.
There’s a shop in 1Utama (Sealantis…i think) which have a swimming pool beside it. They would conduct the classes there.. before u do your final 2 dives out in sea…

  2. There are quite a few dive centres in KL/PJ itself. There’s one in hartamas, and another hsed in a bungalow with a pool opp. University Hospital. Sorry I dont know their names.

With webbed feet u need to walk backwards, it’s virtually impossible to walk forwards unless u fancy falling flat on ur face!

  3. shortest gist to learn how to scuba dive?..put your head in a bucket of water…put some fish in there..and breathe through a hose..:)..it’s the nearest thing u get without getting your feet wet….but then..u can always do it with web feet…:)

  4. try pisa aquatic centre. they might be able to help.

they do have this short basic classes in Redang, but it’s very intensive, i think you won’t be so free to spend the whole time there learning basic scuba 🙂
