As a kid I used to like observing(from the kitchen) the milkman opens up the cover and use it as a funnel to ladle milk into bottles for households in the backlane. The milk is best taken is when you add a little bit of sugar in the milk, boil it and crack an egg into the milk when it's boiling and turn off the flame. Let it stand for a few minutes for the egg to be cooked. Mmmm... yummy, can be a very filling breakfast! Downside is it's kinda heaty though... aaahh I love this type of fresh milk (apart from those that comes in cartons from supermarket).
