Flowers

pinkflower

Just sharing some photos of flowers. This little pink flower seems to be the favourite of our Municipal Council. You can see them planted everywhere.

This looks like a new kind of flower to me. Almost everyone who keeps a ‘Baliness’ garden or lotus ponds (which in my opinion, harbours dengue!) have this. The leaves are like banana leaves and the flower grows from very long, thin stem.

Don’t they put little guppies in the pots to eat up the larvae? That is what I do to prevent any mosquitoes breeding.
