I just realised that I was all excited with the arrival of Hari Raya and Deepavali the other day. However, I haven’t write anything related to Christmas yet eventhough it is just 16 days away. My bad.
To be frank, Christmas is just another day to me except I would be extra busy with some church activities. If I can squeeze in some time, I will probably roast a big chicken (never bought a turkey before) or leg of lamb. My evenings preceeding Christmas and on Christmas’s Eve is spent doing carolling rounds and attend mass.
In Penang here, there is a chingay procession on Christmas Day. This is one event that I will definitely try to find time to go. Chingay has nothing to do with Christmas. It is just an annual tourism event held every 25th December. It is certainly very thrilling because these skillful men will balance really, really huge and tall flags as stunts. Lots of photo opportunities for me. Except that I had always been very fearful of the giant flags falling on me.
Back to the photos above, the only shopping mall that has some decent Christmas decorations is the Gurney Plaza. I wish I have more places to go and snap photos. But there is none that I can think of. Can you believe that I had tried going to Gurney Plaza these two nights (to visit some computer shop) but were unable to even enter the car park? Seems like everyone is shopping.
I wish we have something similar to Orchard Road in Singapore or Hongkong island. I had spent a few Christmases at these two places and the atmosphere there is really magical.

Spending xmas in new york pon best…. :), especially if one really enjoys the snow…Somehow, snow makes xmas seemed magical gitu *lol*…Not to mention the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center…and it’s ice skating rink, too…
Tapi kan, lagi best thanksgiving, sbb ada macy’s thanksgiving parade…I used to be glued to the telly sbb nak watch the parade. Nak pegi sendiri payah la, ramai sangat org, and parking is nightmare.
