I just went to the opening of the Malaysia Open House which is a street festival starting from 4.30 pm today till 11.30 pm tonight. The event spans a few streets but unfortunately, the sun was too hot and bright for any decent exploration.
I left after a few minutes because the heat is unbearable. If I am not mistaken, there will be free food for all.
I managed to squeeze through the crowd and snapped this photo of our Penang Chief Minister and Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Rais Yatim Minster of Culture, Arts & Heritage who were there to officiate the opening. I heard that our Prime Minister will be there later. (P/S : It looks a bit weird to me to see them wearing the band with their names on it, sort of like a beauty pageant. LOL.)
Girls in the Chinese traditional costume parading.
This sullen face little boy was crying inside the lion dance costume. I think he is about 7 years old and probably felt too hot and tired under the hot sun. Poor kid.
