New Zealand's Pacific rose is my FAV!! Got tonnes of them over here,in NZ of course!
Lilian, yes, apple picking is fun and you can just pick the best apples from the tree itself and most of the local's owners are very friendly and will be happy to take you on a tour around his farm too!

i've never heard of china fuji but i can tell ya japanese fuji is the real deal. i wouldn't eat anything from china nowadays ... too much pollution is everything. but all of that aside i've been to a few farms around upstate ny. you spend almost the entire day there running up and down the mountain / hill picking the cripiest, biggest, reddest/greenest/orangest/yellowest whatever kind of apple you can practically think of.. but its good family times. picnicing and enjoying the view. its not bad in terms of price bc you can eat all you want there and won't charge ya a single cent but they'll charge you by bag or pounds when you're leaving the farm..

I'm not a great fan of apples, but apart from China fuji, I find NZ Pacific Rose and South African Fuji very sweet and crisp too. The worst are those waxy-looking ones from USA.
