rasa malaysia? - Huh? I dunno how my template got back to the wordpress default. LOL.

sheryl - I like my eggs just cook, so probably that explains the dampness.

durianberry - sesame oil and ginger makes a lot of nice dishes, with pork, chicken or even pork liver

kath - Thanks for the recipe!

siong - Thank you!

Lillian, like you, my mom absolutely loves this dish. But yours looks more "wet" than the ones my mom makes.

As for me, I don't care much for the taste of ginger (except for the dried pickled type), but love sesame seed oil on my instant noodles or porridge. Sesame seed oil is also very good to push out the wind in the stomach.

Reading this, I've been reminded of how fabulous this simple dish tastes :) I've had it before from the home catering. I never thought it would be so simple to prepare! I have to whip up one some time.

i too love sesame oil and ginger. i love to cook sesame oil - ginger - egg and chicken.
i normally will dry the egg in sesame oil then put aside. fry the ginger till fragrance. i will then put in the chicken and let it fry till a bit brown before i add in water and cook it. half way, i will put the fried egg to cook together with the chicken. before serving, i will put few more drops of sesame oil. love the taste and love the smell. :) you can try that if you like sesame oil and ginger a lot.
