I have searched for a good waffle maker but have yet to find one which looks promising. Anyway, waffle is not something that you eat every day so I just settled for the waffles from A&W or those small stalls located at shopping malls.
My children sometimes take a rest from our shopping trips by sipping iced drinks and tucking in on this Belgian chocolate waffle from Nelson’s. It is rather good when it is freshly made and dripping with chocolate.
For just a few dollars for a freshly made waffle, I think I can forget about my hunt for a waffle maker. It is much cheaper because if I do own one, I may end up spending a lot of money on the various toppings. Moreover, making the batter can be a chore too.
Have a good weekend to all!

I bought one 2 years ago but now like antique lor. Have not been using it for more than a year plus. Hehehe. Better not remind Lawrence about that again otherwise kena shoot liau. I also make a lot of noise when I want to buy it. Finally dapat liau. Now that you remind me of it, I should be taking it out to make again. Put some tuna or ham. Savoury one. Yummy…… Can put kaya, butter or jam mah. Don’t have to purposely go and buy the condiments one. You can put your salad also mah…….. Make it a weekend project lor. You have a good weekend too.

Those pictures of waffles definitely look yummy! I can eat them off this site
I wish the A&W here had them, they only have the usual rootbeer-float, burgers… I think the closest one to waffles is perhaps waffle fries? Haha…
You’re right, it’s better for you to go the restaurants or foodstalls when you feel like having waffles than going through all the trouble to make your own. There are a number of places here that serve waffles for breakfast but not sure if they look as good as the ones pictured here.

Hi hi,
Well this isn’t related to your post, but I just checked out your son’s blog, and I must say I was highly amused!
In a very good way! It’s great that he’s so young and yet, so knowledgable and passionate about skating as a sport.
Also, I think you’re an ultra-cool mom! Well my mom would never have let me do anything “dangerous” like that but I think it’s wonderful that you encourage your son to follow his passion and let him learn independence.
Kudos to you! :)))))

I don’t know if they have a branch in penang, but next time you’re in KL and happen to be shopping in 1-Utama or Sunway Pyramid, you ought to try the Waffle World
Their waffles are yummy-licious … (aiks, think-think oso now drooling liao!)

The waffles with dripping chocolate look so delicious! So far, I’ve only tasted waffles with chocolate sauce from LeoMag. A&W has waffles? Gotta try it out. Thanks for the pictures!
