Sri Ananda Bahwan in Tanjung Bungah

I immediately head over to the place the moment I got a chance because I like the foods from Sri Ananda Bahwan in Market Street. The place looks like a resort style restaurant , I definitely want to check out the place. It is nothing like the stuffy and crowded good old Indian restaurant in town.

I have no yummy food photos to show because firstly, it was my first day with two new cameras and I am shy to say that I cannot find the right buttons in the dark, romantic place. We just bought a Nikon D40 and a Nikon P4.

Moreover, I am still on vegetarian fast and hence, all I have are vegetables and banana leave rice. By the time my hubby’s briyani chicken rice arrived, my hands are dirty from eating the rice.

My rice dishes consist of a few strands of kangkong, cabbage and some unrecognisable vege. *sobs* Lucky they have the palak with tofu (spinach and tofu spicy dish) to satiate my hunger.

I highly recommend the place if you wish to bring some foreign friends there ‘cos the surroundings is nice and the food as usual, is ok lah. If only they don’t play Christmas songs! LOL. I tried the mango lassi which is great.

Nice place…..! The vege portions look a bit small though.

I have tried the place n i must say the $$$ is almost the same as eating in the market street shop….the sotong masala dish (not spicy) was nice as the sotong was big n only cost RM4 for 2 persons….I also took a piece of chicken rendang (as they call it) …also very nice…as for the vege portion, you can ask them to “tambah” if not enough
