There is no way for any parents to evade from getting sucked into the McD mania. If there is any new movie, there is sure a McD toys collection. And as all good (or bad, up to you) parents do, we have to remember the series of toys from Week 1 to Week 4 (or even 8).
With that sort of look – the look of satisfaction, contented and pure happiness, how can I deny my kid his toys, right? So, off to McD we go for Shrek 3.
He got himself a large Shrek who talks. “I am an ogre” “I am on it.” and something like that. The Happy Meal consists of a steamed corn, iced ribena, one chicken drumstick which my kid loves a lot and Shrek 3. The green sundae is made of some lime and lemon sauce.
Do you know that McDonald’s coffee is pretty good? It is as good as those from Starbucks and Coffee Beans. Whenever my kid goes to McD, I definitely grab one coffee as well. It is only 1/3 of Starbucks price.
And this is my breakfast, lunch cum tea. McDonald’s double cheeseburger. Best evarrr.

Does anyone remember the progression of the Malaysian Cheese Burger?
I still remember in the early eighties (ya lar! I am of that generation.. ) The burger was like full of Lettuce, Tomato and Onions Sliced Rings.
Apparently, (Read: the book on McD’s) McD’s does that the every new market whereby it will first imitate the local product then slowly educate the consumer to eat the way the Americans do it.
These days why-lar the street food insist on putting mayonaise on everything remotely “western” wan? I not sure elsewhere but Klang Valley sure wan..
Coffee: proof that Starbucks, an what not is big hype wan.
Anyway something must be said for the big brands.. they raise the industry and consumer knowledge, expectations and delivery on a better quality product.
For instance IKEA is at the forefront of delivery halal sausages to its restaurant. Therefore if anybody buy the same product from the same producer, rest assured that IKEA also buys at the same place.
