Pizza Hut inconsistent quality control

Let this be a constructive criticism to help Pizza Hut improves their food quality nationwide. Firstly, I must praise Pizza Hut, Sunrise Tower, Gurney Drive, Penang for the best pizza around. In fact, that’s the only place we like. Normally, we will phone up that outlet to order our pizza and go there to personally pick up. This is because they don’t deliver to our housing area (Farlim) and the pizza that comes from our area failed its quality control many times and even our kids refused to eat them.

For this post, I have to highlight the quality of Pizza Hut, Tesco, Jalan Udini outlet.

This is the samballicious pizza we got. It is burnt and we cannot even see any fresh, green pepper or anchovies like advertised. After a few mouthfuls and we realised that it is not acceptable. We called the supervisor and told him about it. He admitted that the pizza was burnt. (But why still serve to us!?! We waited for a long time and were already very hungry by then.)

This is what it is suppose to look like. The photo in their menu. Crunch anchovies with fresh, green peppers.

The supervisor did a marvellous job, offering us fresh pizza at no cost. For that, I must say the Pizza Hut outlet in Tesco, Jalan Udini, Penang has some saving grace.

However, the quality of their foods still needs to be monitored. For example, the soup always have lumps of flour. And the breadstick :

You can see for yourself how burnt one of the breadstick is and yet, they served it.

So, Pizza Hut top management, if you reading this, sorry that this is made public. But I am writing this in good faith that you will improve the quality of the foods from all your outlets and make it consistent. Otherwise, one or two lousy foods served from a random outlet will pull down the name of Pizza Hut.

I’ve never had good experience dining at that Pizza Hut branch in Tesco. They are always so stingy with toppings and ingredients. Their service is slow despite having many waiters. And this has happened twice – they never bring their menu unless they are called. The lasagna I ordered came with barely anything. It’s like eating plain pasta with sauce. No QC, no improvement since last year

Well, nowadays services at those outlet is no good, especially those outlet with big area, like those KFC – Pizza Hut combination under 1 building. Those staffs looks busy but actually doing nothing, end up just waiting and waiting.

We pay the service charge and deserve to be served ler. But it is poor service. I pay less visit to them quite some time.

Domino’s the best. But they have limited stores and mostly in Klang Valley only.

I had no problems with the Pizza Hut here in Melaka. But very stingy lor with the ingredients.

I agreed the pizzas from Sunrise Tower, Penang is very good. My boys always order it from them and so far they have no comments..But in my hometown (Sitiawan) I find that Pizza Hut still continue to use very old and wornout cutlery. Very bad image for them. Will blog about it when I get some pics..

you are right of course ! some international franchised outlets (pizzahut included) sure have problems with their staff & QC .
Similarly branches of many types of businesses.
People say Malaysians are generally shy to complain of poor/lousy/rude service maybe you/readers could try to change that !

Cant believe they actually serve the burnt breadsticks. They took advantage and assumed you will not complain. As commented by tonixe, Malaysians are generally too shy to complain. We should change that.

yaya…also happened in PizzaHut in Jalan Genting Klang,KL was a very very very bad experience, the staffs..i cannot say they really gave me services but with service charge yo…very slow and pretend not seeing you…or with the response”oh..oh..”in return, nothing you get from them..after waiting for 30 minutes for my breadstick(no much customer that time)came out with black breadstick(all 4 burnt already), then i asked the staffs to change..the pretty lady rejected me and told me what..this is our new release dunno what breadstick already…aha..the taste,i think you can guess..i confused, why i never see any advertisement regarding this..and then, the orange juice, as taste of 99% of H2O with 1% of orange..clear..this kind of quality, i took the picture of the burnt breadstick and then i checked at home, no such new release oh, the staff lie me..i complAINT to the pizzahut top management but turned out with no response…no second time to PIZZAHUT
