CLOSED SHOP ALREADY
*Warning : Before you Audees’ fans come flame me, let me warn you that this is my personal food blog and it is my own personal experience.
The good parts about Audees – It has lovely ambience, nice waitress (there’s only one btw), easy parking and a wine cellar. It spells a romantic place to dine in. Certainly a place I will go if I want some private, quiet and secluded time. Then, I will probably overlook the taste of the foods.
Now, on to the not so great part.
We went to Audees for lunch and since it was my birthday, I wanted to have something special. However, they don’t serve ala carte, only set lunch. What can you expect from a RM22 set lunch, right? However, that’s not the issue.
I expect a restaurant like Audees to make decent pasta. But it was horrible. We ordered two, one carbonara and one vongole. The carbonara has some weird smell. It is not blue cheese or any fancy cheeses or white wine either. My pasta looks like it is made with pre-bottled sauce.
Good pasta doesn’t need stuffs like some overcooked asparagus hiding in there.
The salad which is very refreshing. It has some mungbean salad with Thai sauce.
The watercress soup which is not bad.
Nice dessert, though.
All for RM22 so cannot complain so much. But frankly, after a lunch like this, now I am doubtful if I want to go back and spend RM65 to try their set dinner. When I was there, there were only three other tables.
I wish Audees presents their food in more impressive way. The soup bowl just spells – cheap and convenient. I like to be pampered with beautiful cutleries if I cannot have nice, tasty foods. Otherwise, if the food is really good, you can give me banana leaves and I wouldn’t notice.
Lawrence had been there and he also complaint like what you do. He say it’s not worth at all. After that, I told him I wanted to give it a try and kena lecture like gila. After that come his friend to our place and give the same complaint. Food is horrible. So, I have got no chance to try. Fine food must visit 32 Mansion liau.
Am surprise they give such bowl of soup. The last time I went it wasn’t that bad. Compared 32 Mansion and Audees, everyone will go for 32 Mansion.

Hahhaaa.. that’s why i nvr go there! I had the food before in Sommeliers [the corner large bungalow in front of One-Stop Midlands] before it closed down, & wasn’t impressed at all.
I believe the chef & food is still the same.
Heard the Chef Audee formerly was with 32 Mansion when it first opened… Well, I heard lots of thumbs down from my friends too and each time I passed Kelawei Rd the parking lot almost empty even on weekends. From the pictures shown here, it’s definitely not that appetising but like Lilian said what you expected out MYR 22? So, let’s go to Mizi!!!! 😀
