I remember those days, the surau comittee will go door to door to collect donations. The money will be used to buy the ingedients to make bubur kanji during Ramadhan. BTW .. I never really separated the bones from the flesh especially as it nears the head .... simply impossible ...so I just chewed the flesh a gazillion times before I actually swallowed it !! I always wondered why ppl buy the head only ...why ah?? The thrill of eating it kut, eh?
