I just picked up this news from AsiaOne about the recall on peanut butter from USA. According to the news, Singapore is not affected by the tainted peanut butter.
However, they found foul smelling abalone broth from New Moon. I have seen this brand in the market but I don’t buy these expensive food stuffs. So, when you are out shopping for Chinese New Year foods, remember this news :
It also advises consumers to discard the affected products – including snack-sized packs of Famous Amos peanut-butter cookies – if they had purchased them overseas.
But New Moon Brand Premium Abalone Broth has been pulled off shelves after buyers detected a foul smell when they opened the can.
The AVA advises consumers not to consume the product
I don’t think I have heard any news from our good Health Minister in Malaysia. Have you? Maybe he is too busy with KT? Post mortem-ing the loss?
