Review : No Eye Deer (no idea)

This restaurant has been around for several years already and if I remember correctly, the owner gave it a unique name The No Eye Deer because people normally reply ‘No idea’ when asked where they want to eat.

We have been to the place only a few times because Fettes Park is not ‘within the neighbour’. No Eye Deer serves western foods like steaks, sausages, pastas and a few local dishes as well.

pumpkin soup

It is the kind of place where families go to have a quick meal without needing to dress up. Note my little kid in his pasar malam garb? 🙂 We were on our way home after a day at the beach.

Laotian Laksa

No Eye Deer’s menu is a little bit like Secret’s Recipe but it is cheaper, nicer and the place is much cosier without the normal shopping crowd of Secret’s Recipe. I had this huge bowl of Laotion Laksa which packs a lot of oommph! Sourish, lemak and the rice vermicelli blends so well with the basil leaves, beansprouts and beef. They are very generous with the beef slices and the bowl only costs RM10.80.

They have set meals which costs between RM19.90 for sausages to RM37 for steaks. The set comes with a soup, dessert and main meal. The above is the upside down icecream

coffee jelly

Coffee jelly with cream. I added some of the vanilla icecream and it tastes just nice.

No Eye Deer is in Jalan Fettes, just above 7-Eleven.

  1. oh wow Lillian… thanks for giving me idea to eat over there!!! Had been logger head as where to eat for tomorrow. It’s one of my fav place. If not mistaken you can also buy & take-away the sausages they sold over there (uncooked-of course.) I have to drop by to inform them a few days beforehand. Thanks again! Good day!
