Korean bbq and steamboat

*full feed again, yay!*

My family went to Seoul Garden for lunch today. Actually, we went to several restaurants but they were either closed or too pack. First of all, we went to Sushi King but there was a long queue due to the RM2 per plate promotion. *roll eyes*

I don’t know how we ended up at this Korean bbq and steamboat place at the basement of Gurney Plaza. Food is so-so only so I didn’t bother to take any photos until my little boy screamed, “MOMMY, TAKE PHOTO FASTER!!!!”

He is so amused with the tiny tadpoles. I told him those are frogs’ eggs. 😛 I forgot the name of this tiny seed. So, that’s when I finally took out my camera. By then, we had finished eating.

There is nothing to show except these few pieces of peppers. Well, the price is not bad at RM19.99 plus RM3.99 for the unlimited refill of drinks. This is the weekday price for lunch. Choices are not much with some beef, lots of chicken, fish, small prawns and shellfish.

However, the service is rather good and I must praise the staffs. The place serves no pork and they hire Malay waiters and kitchen helpers. There are also Malay patrons when I was there. All in all, for that price, it is ok lah….. Basement of Gurney Plaza, at the far, far end (opposite end is Cold Storage)

  1. Yep… it’s riped biji kemangi/selasih or basil seeds. Some drinks stalls still sells it in rose syrup. I love it during Ramadan where you can find stalls sell it mixed with nutmeg, buah kembang semangkuk, getah anggur, tapioca pearls, etc. It has cooling effect… My mom fed me soaked basil seeds in syrup when I had high fever.

I must try that BBQ.. thanks for sharing and yummy pictures!
